1. Can I pitch right by the lake?

Yes — all pitches at The Cyder Farm are lakeside, giving you open views and easy access to the water.

2. Do you allow campervans, caravans, and roof tents?

Yes. We welcome tents, campervans, tourers, caravans and roof tents. All pitches are grass, level, and suitable for most setups.

3. What facilities are available on-site?

We provide toilets, waste disposal and fresh water. There are currently no shower facilities. Fire pits are allowed and Hot Tub hire.

4. Do I need to book fishing in advance?

Fishing can be paid for on the bank or added when booking your camping stay. The lake is carp-only.

5. What fish are in the lake?

Our lake is stocked with carp of all sizes up to 20lb, ideal for both beginners and experienced anglers.

6. What fishing rigs are allowed?

Allowed: running rigs, safe helicopter rigs and simple float fishing.
Not allowed: fixed rigs, leadcore, 360 rigs, bent hooks, nuts, braided mainline or unsafe bolt rigs.

7. Do I need an EA Rod Licence to fish?

Yes — anyone aged 13+ needs a valid EA Rod Licence, except on Angling Trust–approved Try Fishing Days where licences are waived.

8. Are fire pits allowed?

Yes, fire pits are welcome. Please use them safely and keep them raised off the ground.

9. Is the site quiet and family-friendly?

Yes — The Cyder Farm is a peaceful countryside site, perfect for relaxed family breaks, calm evenings and lakeside camping.

10. Can I hire a hot tub during my stay?

Yes — we offer on-site hot tub hire. It’s set up and heated for you. Pre-booking is advised as availability is limited.
